FOCUS: Foreign Language Opportunities for Children with Unique Skills

Kick-off for project FOCUS

The project FOCUS is being implemented under the Erasmus+ program, by ten participating organizations and educational centers from Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, Italy, Slovenia and Spain, and its duration is from 01.11.2023 – 31.10.2026. The direct target groups are foreign language teachers in primary schools, school leaders, primary schools (public and private) and foreign language teachers. FOCUS will showcase how involving foreign languages teachers from different educational levels can help school teachers and other educational providers get closer and work together for the development of methods, tools approaches and techniques to teach foreign languages to children with learning difficulties.

Specifically, partners will create Digital Education Games that foreign language teachers can use engaging, interactive games to facilitate fun and effective language learning.  Moreover, they will develop a Digital Database that will provide to foreign language teachers support and innovative practices, which have already been implemented in other countries.  Finally, a training program will be developed which contains case studies and best practices for teaching foreign languages to children with learning difficulties and provides teachers with valuable resources and insights to enhance their teaching approaches.

Partners had a kick – off meeting on the 27 – 28th of November, which was hosted by our partners from Ljudska Univerza Ptuj in Ptuj, Slovenia! We discussed about the overview of the project FOCUS including time planning, project budget distribution, reporting tools, and about all the activities related to the development and implementation of the three project results and now we are ready to proceed to the next steps.
