EmpowerHer: Invitation to Employers and HR Professionals to Interviews

The EmpowerHer Project, led in Cyprus by the non-profit organisation COMCY (Centre for Competence Development Cyprus), is launching a new round of Focus Groups and Interviews with employers and HR professionals.

Why this initiative?

Women with a migrant background often face multiple challenges in entering the labour market – from language barriers and cultural differences to limited access to support structures. Employers, on the other hand, frequently seek guidance on how to adapt their onboarding practices to the needs of multicultural teams.

Through these meetings, COMCY aims to create a structured dialogue with companies and HR departments in Cyprus, to:

• Capture real-life experiences and challenges in onboarding migrant women.
• Exchange good practices and innovative approaches among peers.
• Collect insights that will directly inform the development of the EmpowerHer Onboarding Toolbox – a practical resource designed to help organisations create more inclusive, supportive, and fair workplaces.

Format & Participation

• Who can join? Employers, HR managers, and administrative staff from different sectors.
• When? Sessions will be scheduled until October 24, 2025.
• How? Either in-person (at COMCY or at the organisation’s premises) or online.
• Duration: Focus Groups (60–90 minutes) or one-to-one Interviews (20–30 minutes).
• Languages: Greek or English, according to preference.

All participants will receive the discussion guide in advance, ensuring that the process is focused, efficient, and relevant.
