Special Intimacy Needs Educator – Assisting differently abled people with the improvement of their emotional and sexual needs

The Special Intimacy Needs Educator – Assisting differently abled people with the improvement of their emotional and sexual needs project aims to disseminate and promote in Europe a new role, the role of the special educator in emotional and sexual education for people with special needs.

The main objective of the project is to formalize the training of people involved in the emotional and sexual education of people with disabilities, by recognizing the skills they acquire through non-formal and informal education and learning processes.

More specifically, the objectives of the project are:

– To promote social inclusion through non-formal and informal learning for individuals/trainers who provide support to people with disabilities in the areas of emotional and sexual self-awareness,

– To highlight the importance of a qualified trainer providing support to people with special needs in terms of skills in issues relating to interpersonal, emotional and sexual relationships,

– To train specialist educators, with sufficient knowledge of the various forms of disability, in relation to the interpersonal, emotional and sexual areas
